For His Glory Ministries of St. Louis
For His Glory Ministries of St. Louis began with a vision and burden for the poor in July of 2014. The goal of which was to assemble the body of Christ in a unified effort to meet the needs of the homeless as ordained by Christ in Matthew 25:34-40.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ – Matthew 25:34-40
About Us/Who We Are/What We Do
For His Glory Ministries of St. Louis is a 501c3 ministry organized to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to impact the world with the love of Jesus Christ one life at a time. Homelessness is rapidly increasing and has been expanding since the fall of the economy in 2008. We are seeing populations and individuals from various socioeconomic strata, some of which have been underrepresented in the past. Our goal is to help fight this epidemic. To provide hope, encouragement, and support where all seems lost.
We are a collaborative effort of Christian individuals and organizations, throughout the St. Louis area, who seek to serve to our neighbors with one heart and mind through the love of Jesus Christ. We target the poorest of the poor and serve approximately #100 men, women, and children on a monthly basis. Our patron’s live in the emergency homeless shelter’s we serve in without the ability to secure housing, food, employment, and the like. They fall into a broad range of categories to include veterans, the mentally ill, teenagers, domestic abuse victims, drug addicts, and the like. We are 100% volunteer based which means we incur no administrative expenses and minimal indirect costs. We currently operate through monthly outreach events in which we gather together at one of the areas local shelter’s to distribute a hot meal, hygiene supplies, winter apparel, blankets, and other similar resources as well as one on one encouragement and prayer to all who desire to receive. We have recently been expanding our ministry to include health services by a licensed and registered RN. We hope to also include a barber, licensed social worker, and the like as the resources become available. Pictures of our monthly outreach events can be seen on our Facebook site, Click Here.
