Pastor Dave tells how it all started...
I have been privileged to serve as Pastor of Calvary Chapel St. Louis County since it began in May 1990.
I gave my life to the Lord on Memorial Day 1975. I met the love of my life, Carol, on Memorial Day 1978 and we married six weeks later. We began to attend Calvary Chapel in Bellflower, California. While attending that church, God began to give us a desire to move back to the St. Louis area, where I grew up, and plant a Calvary Chapel. We moved to Missouri at the end of 1984 and the church began in May of 1990. The Lord has blessed us with four children: three daughters and a son, as well as many wonderful grandchildren.
Over the years, we have been honored to be involved in missions in India, Ukraine, Asia, and the Middle East, particularly Egypt. We have worked closely with The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, which provides grief ministry and deploys crisis-trained chaplains to provide emotional and spiritual care to those affected by man-made or natural disasters.
Calvary Chapel Saint Louis County has been formed as a non-denominational fellowship of believers. Our desire is to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are affiliated with the Calvary Chapels started by Pastor Chuck Smith. The vision for our ministry came from Ezekiel 34:15-16 (NKJV) "'I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down', says the Lord GOD. 'I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick'". Simply put, to teach the Word of God, His whole counsel, and to love the people that He puts in our lives. We are more than an organization that meets for services on Sunday mornings. We are a family. We look forward to continuing the work the Lord began and standing one day before His throne next to you hearing Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servants".

Expanding the vision...
We are excited to see what God is doing in and around Maryland Heights. We have a heart for missions and support many missionaries and organizations that are winning the lost and discipling believers from all around the world.
Where we are headed...
We continue to pray and ask God to give us insight and wisdom on how to reach out to the community and beyond. From small church outreach projects, to passing out gospel tracks to every home in our city, we are following God's lead in reaching the lost here in St. Louis County.
Be a part of our story...
Join us as we gather together to worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
